Minnesota Opens Cannabis Business License Applications for 2025 Market Launch

Minnesota Office of Cannabis Management has officially opened applications for its first wave of cannabis business licenses. Applications opened on February 18, and will be accepted until March 14.

General Licensing Process.

Licenses for retailers, cultivators, and manufacturers will be awarded through a lottery system, with a social equity lottery in May prioritizing veterans and those impacted by past cannabis laws. A general lottery will follow, while microbusiness and delivery licenses will be issued without a lottery.
