Minnesota’s Office of Cannabis Management is undergoing a pivotal leadership change. Charlene Briner, who headed the OCM since its creation in 2023 will step down on January 17th, after playing a critical role in crafting the state’s regulatory framework for cannabis. Her successor, Eric Taubel, the current office’s general counsel will take over at a crucial moment, as Minnesota's cannabis business licensing process is set to begin in February of 2025.
